What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 3:00 PM onwards, and check-out is by 11:00 AM. This allows us time to prepare Doris for your stay.
How do I get to Hazelnut Hill?
Hazelnut Hill is nestled in the Surrey Hills countryside. Access is by car along quiet country lanes. Directions are provided upon booking.
Is there parking available?
Yes, parking is available on-site near the cabin.

Is there electricity in the cabin?
Yes, Doris has plentiful solar-powered USB sockets for charging your devices.
Do you provide bedding and towels?
Yes, the cabin includes king-sized bedding, pillows, duvet, cushions, two bath towels, and two hand towels per guest.
Is there hot water and heating?
Yes, the cabin has central heating for cooler months, a log burner, and hot water in the ensuite bathroom for showers and sinks.
Is the cabin suitable for year-round stays?
Yes, Doris is equipped for year-round comfort, with heating in winter and ventilation for warmer months.
Is there Wi-Fi or mobile phone signal?
There is no Wi-Fi at Hazelnut Hill, so you can truly unwind and disconnect from busy devices. Some mobile signal is available, though coverage may vary depending on your provider.
Is there a fridge or somewhere to store food?
Yes, there is a small outdoor fridge and storage shelves for dry food within the cabin.
Are tea/coffee making facilities provided?
Yes, tea and coffee facilities are provided, along with a portable gas stove for hot water.
Nature & Wildlife
Can I bring my own food and drink?
Yes, you can bring your own food and drinks to prepare either in the cabin using the portable gas stove, at the shared outdoor kitchen, or on the firepit.
Are there bugs or insects I should be aware of?
As you’re staying in a woodland and meadow environment, there will naturally be insects, butterflies, and other wildlife. Bring repellent if desired.
Food & Drink
Will I see wildlife near the cabin?
Absolutely! Hazelnut Hill is rich in wildlife. Expect to see deer, foxes, rabbits, owls, bats, buzzards, kites, woodpeckers, butterflies, and goldcrests.
Where is the nearest pub or restaurant?
The nearest pub is the Jolly Farmer in Bramley village, about a 40-minute walk or a short drive. There is also a fish and chip shop, a café, and a Friday wood-fired pizza van (check ahead).
Is there anywhere nearby to buy groceries?
Yes, Bramley and nearby towns like Haslemere, Godalming, Farnham, and Cranleigh have shops for essentials.
Fires & Cooking
Can I use the fire pit or log burner?
Yes. You may use the outdoor firepit and the indoor log burner, following our safety instructions.
Is firewood provided or available to purchase?
Yes. Seasoned firewood and firelighters are provided for both the log burner and firepit. Additional firewood can be purchased in advance. Only firewood from us can be used in the log burner. Guests may bring wood for the firepit, but avoid treated or fixed wood.
Children & Pets
Is the cabin suitable for children?
The cabin features a king-sized bed and also has space to accommodate a cot if needed
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, dogs are very welcome at Hazelnut Hill! Please ensure they are kept secure, as the cabin is surrounded by expansive woodland

Are stag/hen parties or large groups allowed?
No, the cabin is intended for private, peaceful stays, so stag/hen parties or large groups are not permitted.
